The fraud lies in the premise that money can store value which can only be true if money has intrinsic value. But the reality is that our money has zero intrinsic value. Money has only one bona fide function - the unit of account - whose purpose is to provide an accurate and reliable means of measuring and expressing the value of things which have value. Top 10 weird things that happen in North Korea home of Kim Jong Un Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Other Videos You Might Like The Most Beautiful Places In The World https://youtu.be/SbeHjcLOkgs Strange Things That Only Happen In Russia https://youtu.be/ru0lO3MJfl0 Description: North Korea is ruled by an oppressive and often violent communist regime. The region is best known for countless human rights violations, a brutal response to any dissidents of the reigning Kim Jong-un-led government, extremely restrictive conditions and a dramatic disparity between the wealthy elite class and the impoverished majority of citizens. This identity lives on through those who were able to successfully evacuate the country and through international experts, most of whom have limited access thanks to a rigid foreign policy that allows these atrocities to continue through their relative isolation. Yet, many people view North Korea as a strange, perplexing and often ludicrous curiosity, reacting to the mysterious dictatorship more with bemusement than outrage. And surely enough, the comic material is plentiful. The deluded Jong-un is an unknown entity with an oddball haircut and his deceased father Kim Jong-Il was an embellishment-prone narcissist, having been known to claim he was a world-class golfer and a global fashion icon. Through its dictatorial regime, the country has set overbearing and often hypocritical rules to lord over its citizens, typically enforced in a harsh, aggressive manner. Fascination and amusement at the expense of what is known as the Hermit State has even extended into pop culture. 30 Rock satirized Jong-Il’s penchant for exaggerating – or outright making up - his own achievements and the ‘truths’ of the country’s state-run media. The Interview depicted Seth Rogen and James Franco embarking upon a mission to assassinate Jong-un but never reached theaters partially in response to alleged threats by North Korea. The weirdness reached new heights when NBA star and noted eccentric Dennis Rodman formed a friendship with Jong-un and even paid a few visits to the difficult-to-access nation. Indeed, separating fact from fiction in North Korea is not easy to do. The shrouded-in-mystery state offers plenty of misinformation through its state-run media and allows for precious few outsiders to provide an unbiased perspective, thanks to an effort by the isolated country’s leaders to block information from entering or exiting the country. Instead, we are left with unsubstantiated but oft-repeated rumors, like Jong-un feeding his uncle, Jang Song Thaek, to 120 starving dogs. Thus, any examination of North Korea can only be facilitated through piecing together various bits of factual information that emerge occasionally from the country. Reports from international human rights organizations like the United Nations, infrequent accounts from international news outlets and a scattering of stories from those who have successfully left the country have helped form a rough idea of how the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) operates. It is through these narratives and perspectives that a basic understanding of North Korea is formed. With that in mind, let’s take a glimpse inside this confounding place and examine some of the craziest-but-true facts about it. THE IMMORTALISTS is the documentary on aging and how we are fighting the process, as exemplified by the work of two very different scientists. A brilliant odd couple (Bill Andrews and Aubrey de Grey) are on a crusade to end aging as we know it, while they bring humanity to the struggle against mortality and deterioration of the human body. We discuss the movie with filmmakers Jason Sussberg and David Alvarado from the 2014 SXSW Film Fest, here on BYOD--the world's only doc talk show. FILM INFO & DIRECTOR INFO: Jason Sussberg, David Alvarado (Co-directors) - THE IMMORTALISTS Two eccentric scientists struggle to create eternal youth in a world they call "blind to the tragedy of old age." As they battle their own aging and suffer the loss of loved ones, their scientific quest ultimately becomes personal. The Immortalists is the story of two eccentric scientists struggling to create eternal youth with medical breakthroughs in a world they call "blind to the tragedy of old age." Bill Andrews is a lab biologist and famed long-distance runner racing against the ultimate clock. Aubrey de Grey is a genius theoretical biologist who conducts his research with a beer in hand. They differ in style and substance, but are united in their common crusade: cure aging or die trying. They publicly brawl with the old guard of biology who argue that curing aging is neither possible nor desirable. As Andrews and de Grey battle their own aging and suffer the losses of loved ones, their journeys toward life without end ultimately become personal. David Alvarado is a New York based filmmaker interested in science, philosophy and future of civilization. He was born the son of a Mexican immigrant in Dallas, Texas where he spent his teen years running amuck with punk rockers on a mission of anarchy. After dropping out of high school and developing an accomplished career in criminal mischief, he switched career paths after realizing the power of film. He soon earned his G.E.D., moved up the ranks of community college and finally reached a university film school where he began to focus on documentary. Finally, in 2010 he completed his Masters of Fine Arts from Stanford University in Documentary Film and Video Production. David's dream is to inspire audiences with emotionally driven stories about people who are at the intersection of where science meets society. At the spry young age of 29 years old, and soon to begin the aging process at his 30th birthday in March at SXSW, he is now ready to get to work. Jason Sussberg is a documentary filmmaker focused on BIG ideas on human progress and social justice. He started his career working in sports television for the San Francisco Giants and the Golden State Warriors. After receiving his MFA at Stanford University in film, he co-founded Dogpatch Films in San Francisco. He is a digital dabbler (with a past life in motion graphics) who trains his lens on social and political topics ranging from jailed journalists, justice system reform to futurism. When he's not in the classroom teaching or co- directing The Immortalists, he is running marathons, making hot sauce from scratch, or yelling at drivers about the legal rights of cyclists. He lives in San Francisco with wife Kate McLean, who is also a filmmaker. Sometimes they are hypothetical situations to help us look at the world differently, or they show the paradoxes in human nature. Or they can help us visualize complicated concepts with the simplicity of a story. But no matter what they explain or illustrate, these thought experiments will hopefully mess with your mind, at least a little bit. →Subscribe for new videos every day! https://www.youtube.com/user/toptenznet?sub_confirmation=1 Find more lists at: http://www.toptenz.net Entertaining and educational top 10 lists from TopTenzNet! David Allen Green, legal correspondent, New Statesman; writer of acclaimed Jack of Kent blog Alex Deane, head of public affairs, Weber Shandwick; Common Councilman, City of London; founding director, Big Brother Watch; David Cameron's first Chief of Staff John Fitzpatrick, professor of law and director, Kent Law Clinic, University of Kent, Canterbury Wendy Kaminer, US-based writer on law, liberty, feminism, religion, and popular culture; author, Worst Instincts: cowardice, conformity and the ACLU Chair: Luke Gittos, trainee barrister; convenor, London Legal Salon It has become a maxim of Western society that citizens should be equal before the law. A legal system that discriminates against minorities is widely recognised as a symptom of an unjust society. But does this mean the law should be used to make society itself more equal? Since the Equality Act 2010 has been on the statute books, a number of cases have shown how the law is being used to challenge and punish discriminatory attitudes, in the name of greater equality and the celebration of diversity. Some have welcomed this as a move towards a more just society, while others condemn it as illegitimate 'judicial activism'. Take, for example, the Christian couple who were successfully sued in 2011 by two gay men to whom they had refused a room in their bed & breakfast. While many saw this as a victory for tolerance, some argued that the act had limited the rights of the Christian couple to choose with whom to mix or not. Since then, Christian lobby groups have argued that the provisions of the act should apply equally to protect Christians from prejudice. Apart from the fact that it may be impossible to legislate to protect everyone in society from prejudice, another more fundamental question arises: is it dangerous to use the law to change people's minds? Historically, changes in the law have always codified and reflected attitudes in wider society. However, rather than simply back-up prevailing beliefs, should the law start 'taking the lead'? Racial desegregation in the US in the 1950s and 1960s certainly involved legal coercion, but it was also driven by a mass movement for equality. In the case of something like equal recognition for gay marriage in the US and UK, or proposals that corporate boards should contain a certain proportion of women, it remains unclear whether legal moves are 'with the tide of history' or merely promoting an eccentric, elite agenda. If the law is allowed to intrude into private decisions about whom we employ, for example, or with whom we associate or do business, we are denied the right to make these decisions independently. Is this justified in the name of equality? Or is a society in which people only decide to treat others equally because the law tells them to really an equal society at all?

In response to the comments I put this link to a British town where anyone and everyone is growing food anywhere: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2072383/Eccentric-town-Todmorden-growing-ALL-veg.html Both modern Economics and the existing institution of money are based on fraud and enforced by corrupt law. Bona fide units of account cannot have any other function than measurement. Allowing the monetary unit of account to have value destroys its function as a unit of account which thereby becomes the modus operandi of the greatest racket of all time, where the racketeers are not criminals because their racket is backed and enforced by the laws of legal tender. The organization of this racket is now global. (Cont)

Professor Tasioulas discusses the notion of the ‘minimum core obligations’ associated with economic, social and cultural human rights, such as the rights to education and health. The idea of minimum core obligations, which is a nascent doctrine in international human rights law, is heavily contested both as to its meaning and utility. John Tasioulas is Visiting Professor of Law and the Charles J. Merriam Scholar at the University of Chicago Law School; Yeoh Professor of Politics, Philosophy, and Law at the Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London; and Director of the Yeoh Tiong Lay Centre for Politics, Philosophy, and Law. Presented by the International Human Rights Clinics and the Human Rights Law Society on May 5, 2016.

Antonio Somaini, Professor, Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris, in conversation with Keller Easterling, Professor, Yale School of Architecture The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation established the Sawyer Seminars in 1994 to provide support for comparative research on the historical and cultural sources of contemporary developments. Named in honor of the foundation’s long-serving third president, John E. Sawyer, the seminars bring together scholars from different fields to engage a topic from differing, yet complementary, perspectives. Funded by this program, "Genealogies of the Excessive Screen" is a project that looks to examine the proliferation and transformation of screens in contemporary culture in a new historical light. The aim is to construct an interdisciplinary genealogical investigation that would recover and rethink an environmental history of screens. Co-organized by Yale professors Francesco Casetti, Rüdiger Campe, and Craig Buckley, the initiative challenges the idea that the present proliferation of media screens represents an expansion of models derived from the movie and television screen. Up to the middle of the nineteenth century, screens denoted a wide range of environmental elements and functions, from furniture that protected against heat, cold, and wind, to spatial partitions, surfaces concealing the presence of observers, legal protections, false architectural facades, the diversionary maneuvers of soldiers, hunting blinds, psychic as well as physical membranes, and more. By the end of the century, screens had primarily come to denote an optical surface associated with projected images. What effect did this consolidation of the optical screen, and the loss of this more diverse environmental gamut of screens, have on our capacity to think about screens? The project invites scholars to reconsider the obscured, eccentric, and diverse environmental manifestations of the screen, and asks how recovering this lost environmental history might enable us to rethink the problem of the screen today. "Genealogies of the Excessive Screen" is presented in conjunction with the "Enlightened Princesses" exhibition and the initiative will also develop an important collaboration with the Yale University Art Gallery, the Yale Center for British Art, and the Whitney Humanities Center. THE LEMMING SAGA. by the Rt. Hon. Rev. Spiny Norman Chapter two (i) Due to alledged unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of even God, a very inquisitive vegetarian Buddhist Lemming (named: Fred) after reading the first chapter of this very publication, took it upon himself to look into how to proceed to investigate the legal procedure regarding the possibilty to look into the requirements of registering an interest in applying for a visitation to seek remedy in the finding out of an opportunity to attain the qualifications needed to acquire the plots of land on the Isle of Wight regardless of the legend and it's cautionary tales of curses and other silly superstitions. Fred's first obstacle to this brave (but foolish) venture was in the character often described as sexually-demanding, eccentric and strangely attired; the self-proclaimed King of the said Isle, 'Davidickus The Unlikely'. This Silver-haired Guru of the now disbanded Truth Movement (cancelled by lack of interest) has challenged Fred to a wager, with the terms and conditions regarding the contract, stating; "if Fred is victorious, he will gain the Kingdom Of Ickeland (including all rights to published material) from Davidickus' Grubby hands. In consideration of a defeat, Fred would be required to peddle Ickes' Books, Videos, and audio/vlogs to unsuspecting sheep in Ryde harbour (and beyond the Kingdom sometimes, mainly every other tuesday) 24/7 in all weathers, blagging his way through, convincing the sheep that HE believes in lizards and hollow moons etc as vehemently as Ickus too". The details of the agreement were too sketchily devised for Fred's wily acumen, sharp wit and wisdom. A clause was drawn into it, requiring that if the Performance of the Contract was not fulfilled, then His Holiness Mr Ickus would be required to swim across the Solent naked, without his gray Wig, covered in gravy from a slaughtered pig at Puckpool Park, and if such an occurence was forthcoming in that he failed to swim across to Southsea by noon on the day of the event, then Ickus Von Davidus would grant knighthoods (in a 10 hour marathon gala event at Wembley Arena, entitled: 'LEMMINGS, GET OFF MY KNEES' only £46.50 a seat) to ALL qualifying Lemmings displaced by the ancient decree of Icke's Heritage that created the diaspora historically within the Lemming's very peculiar checkered history...
